X-Ray Tech / Medical Assistant
Perform radio-logical duties by making patients feel comfortable during the process. Perform lab, medical assistant, administrative, and clerical duties that assist in the delivery of primary health care and patient care management under the direction of the provider.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare patients for radio-logical procedures and take X-rays following established procedures for patient care and safety
- Protect patients, yourself and staff from radiation exposure by practicing sound procedures which meet or exceed recommended industry standards
- Develop and process radio-logical film.
- Obtain quality diagnostic radio-graphs as requested by the Provider
- Ensure that all is in good working condition and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations
- Report immediately any equipment malfunctions to Supervisor
- Request, retrieve, and track files to and from companies
- Work closely with provider to receive guidance and instruction for treating patients.
- Perform lab work as directed by the Provider
- Make suggestions to improve work methods
- Trains new employees
- Perform all other duties as assigned

· Maintain timely documentation of all work assignments
· Maintain patient confidentiality
· Routinely keep supervisor informed about attendance and job assignments

· Work effectively and at an efficient pace
· Work cooperatively with providers, administration, and peers
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Must have a high-school diploma and a current X-Ray Technology certificate or license from a program approved in Kentucky and prefer experience or certification as a medical assistant.
